The Adaptive Physical Education program began in 1989 and was originally sponsored through Cañada College. We are committed to our community.

  • New Classes for 2024!
    DANCE, FITNESS, AND FUN! on Mondays from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. with instructor Denise Gittens. This is a beginner class - get fit and have a great time dancing to the oldies! Starts on January 8th in the Armory.

    STRENGTH, BALANCE AND MOVEMENT, LEVEL 2 on Wednesdays from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., with instructor Scott Lohmann.  Must be able to get up and down from the ground.

    FREE YOGA CLASS on Thursday mornings from 11 am to 12 noon.  The class will be held in the Armory Building at 939 Valota Road, Redwood City, and will be taught by Arlene McCarthy, PT, DPT, MS, RYT 500.

  • FREE 8-week Compassion Training Course for all caregivers or those with Parkinson’s disease, thanks to a community grant from the National Parkinson’s Foundation!  Starts Wednesday, January 10th.

  • For those of you who wish to continue exercising indoors, in the comfort of your home, this is the perfect time to sign up for our Digital Membership!


    For a modest fee of $50 per month, you will have access to any and all Zoom classes offered by us during the month, as well as unlimited access to our YouTube library, comprising almost 100 videos. You will be asked to register one time on-line for the Zoom classes. The Zoom classes are live in real time, but the YouTube classes can be viewed at any time.
